Why The Trump Administration Lacked Preparation for the Coronavirus

Communications Director for EQCA and political expert, Samuel Garrett-Pate, joined AJ and Mikalah, to discuss why the Trump Administration lacked preparation for the Coronavirus and the results of last night primaries.

He says that during the transition phase of the presidency, the Obama Administration brought the incoming Trump Administration in and went through a legally mandated simulation to practice preparedness incase of a pandemic. Everyone who Politico talked to in that meeting, both Obama and Trump Administration, said that the atmosphere was "weird at best, chilly at worst," because people were walking in and out and some people were falling asleep. Garrett-Pate says it underscores the arrogance that the Trump Administration officials has in the early days. Most of those officials are gone now. This shows the unpreparedness of the Trump team.
