It’s no secret that the LGBTQ+ community is under a renewed attack. For much of the last decade, it’s felt like political homophobia was beginning to fade into the past since the Supreme Court finally gave us the right to marriage.

Rep. Mark Pocan has seen this all before. Republicans in Washington and states like Florida and Texas are working hard to convince Americans that even discussing the existence of LGBTQ+ people is a threat to children and our society as a whole.
