Aside from finding tremendous success as a stand-up comedian, Chelsea Handler has made a name for herself as an author landing five books in the #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list and she’s gearing up to do it again.

Handler recently joined Audacy’s Bubba Show and shared she’s signed a new deal to author a book around her relationship with [boyfriend] Jo Koy.
The two are a fan-favorite love story as they knew each other for nearly 20 years and even worked together before starting a relationship. Allowing everything to fall into place naturally and in it’s own time has served as inspiration to many looking for love and Handler explains she’s gotten so much feedback, it’s prompted inspiration for her next book.
“I just signed a new deal, I’m writing a book on my love story with Jo [Koy],” Chelsea shared. “So many people are like, ‘Wait, if he could crack this iceberg, then there’s hope for everybody,” she said, while commending Koy for his persistence and patience in their relationship.
Handler hopes her book will inspire fans looking for love, regardless of age, and plans to offer words of encouragement for those feeling defeated.
“It doesn’t have to be like settling down because you get to a certain age,” she explained of one of the main ideas she plans to share in the text. “It’s like, we can all find somebody as long as you hold your standards to a certain level — someone’ coming! As long as you have your act together and you’re preparing for the person you want to be with —whether you’re a guy or a girl — your person is coming!”
Chelsea continued to expand on her success as an author, sharing it’s one of her proudest career accomplishments — especially having never gone to college.
“I never even went to college,” she shared. “To to have five #1 New York Times bestsellers is pretty cool, especially when I’m talking to my brothers and sisters who all went to college and have never written a book."
