Mookie Betts is back in the Red Sox' lineup for their series finale against the Orioles Wednesday.
Manager Alex Cora insinuated he would err on the side of caution when Betts returned from the disabled list Monday. Sure enough, that's exactly what happened. Betts was on the bench Tuesday after playing in the previous night's 11-inning affair.
With Betts back in the lineup, the Red Sox are sitting Mitch Moreland for the matinee. He went 1-for-3 in Tuesday's win and drew two walks.
The All-Star balloting results, which were revealed this week, show Moreland in second place among vote-getters at first base in the American League. He's slashing .287/.362/.569 with 10 home runs and 30 RBI.
Brock Holt will start in Moreland's place. The complete lineup for the visiting Red Sox is below. Chris Sale will take the hill as they try to go for the sweep.
