For the second consecutive week and third time this season a Patriots player has earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
This time the award goes to New England special teams captain Matthew Slater, whose blocked punt in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Cowboys set up a short field for the only touchdown of the game, a 10-yard pass from Tom Brady to N'Keal Harry.
Slater, a seven-time Pro Bowl special teams player, also downed a punt inside the 20 in the hard-fought Patriots victory.
Patriots rookie punter Jake Bailey previously won the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award twice this season– a week ago following the win in Philadelphia and after the Patriots Week 3 win over the Jets.
