Rob Gronkowski retired this spring, but many believe his retirement could be short lived and the All-Pro could return to the Patriots offense as early as this fall.

While enjoying his time away from the game and training camp, the future Hall of Famer took note of another superstar's not-so-permanent retirement while simultaneously helping his former bosses sell concert tickets.

Country music legend George Strait returns to Gillette Stadium for a concert on Aug. 17, his first trip to Foxborough since a stop on his supposed "retirement" tour back in 2014.

To build hype for the show, which is produced by Kraft Sports + Entertainment, the Gillette Stadium Twitter account posted a video on Wednesday, considered by some as Gronk day due to the 8/7 date, with Gronkowski poking fun at Strait's retirement.

"I thought you were retired, but I'm glad you're not," Gronkowski says with his trademark delivery. "I'll see you then."

Is this just a creative promotional piece that Gronk was more than happy to help his former employer produce? Or, could it be the next hint in a long list of signs that Gronkowski's days in New England may not truly be over?

Stay tuned. And for now, disregard the significant weight loss for Gronkowski that is once again rather noticeable in the video and embrace the idea that maybe, just maybe, No. 87 has a few more Gillette Stadium touchdowns left in him.
