-- John Cena thinks Rob Gronkowski would be a successful WWE personality but wants him to keep playing for the Patriots.

In a recent interview with SI, Cena was asked what he thought of Gronkowski considering retirement from the NFL to join the WWE.

“If Gronkowski wants to come on board, I think he’d be a perfect fit,” Cena said. “He does not lack in the energy department, so I think he’d be just fine.”

“I’m a fan of the Patriots, so I hope he keeps catching footballs,” he continued. “He’s really good at that. Hopefully Gronkowski can have a career as long as Tom Brady.”

Cena is set to host the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards later this month and Gronkowski hosts a show, Crashletes, on the network.

-- The Royals are taking a stand against porn.

The team held a seminar for players recently in conjunction with anti-porn group Fight the New Drug during Spring Training.

After Danny Duffy’s DUI arrest last year, general manager Dayton Moore spoke about the impact of outside distractions, including porn, on players’ psyches.

“We’ve done a lot of leadership stuff with our players. Very transparent about things that happen in our game, not only with drugs and alcohol,” Moore said in August. “We talk about pornography, and the effects of what that does to the minds of players and the distractions, and how that leads to abuse of — domestic abuse — to abuse of women. How it impacts relationships — we talk about a lot of things. And I don’t mind sharing with you.”

This led to last weekend’s seminar. Fight the New Drug’s co-founder Clay Olsen praised the Royals on Instagram after the workshop.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “It would have scared the shit out of me. I played football as a cover for being gay, and I thought that kind of stuff would have never gotten asked in the NFL. I always assumed the coaches would just assume everyone was straight.” -- Former Patriots offensive lineman Ryan O’Callaghan, on the news that an NFL team asked LSU running back Derrius Guice if he likes men
