AROUND THE WEB:

-- It turns out Terry Shumpert isn't Mookie Betts' only famous relative.

The Red Sox outfielder is also related to actress and soon-to-be royal Meghan Markle. He found out last week their ancestors are from the same part of Alabama.

"I saw on television that they were getting married. But I had no idea we were related," Betts said. "That's not something you expect to hear, but it's interesting."

It was a genealogist from Burlington who discovered the connection between Betts' family and Markle's family from 150 years ago. He found that in 1870 Joseph Betts, Mookie's great-great grandfather, and Jacob Betts, the great-great-great grandfather of Markle, lived just two houses apart in Madison County, Ala.

"That would be cool, to meet her," Betts said of Markle. "I wonder if she's a baseball fan?"

Unfortunately, it seems Betts did not get an invite to Markle's May 19 wedding to Prince Harry at Windsor Castle, but the Red Sox will play games in London next year so maybe that will be his chance.

The plane is JetBlue's first NBA aircraft and celebrates the partnership between the airline and the Celtics.

The unveiling featured mascot Lucky the Leprechaun and a dunk show from the Celtics Flight Crew.

"If you watch our road games, those road games are full of green jerseys, every city we go to," Celtics president Rich Gotham said. "So it's really cool for us to be able to see this plane, for our fans to be able to see this plane."

The plane is not for team travel, unlike the Patriots plane, but will be joining the fleet of JetBlue commercial planes.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "It will probably be loud and I like loud. Hopefully it gets loud. I like a lot of noises. It gets my blood going. It makes me laugh. It's so much fun. I love it. We'll see." -- Joe Kelly, on pitching at Yankee Stadium in the upcoming Red Sox series against the Yankees
