AROUND THE WEB:
-- The Oakland A's attempted to promote the team's upcoming series with the Red Sox by trolling the team with a Deflategate tweet on Tuesday.
But there were some flaws in the attempt.
Well, it's a good thing that baseballs can't be deflated. Boston visits April 20-22. https://t.co/RizI8l7teK pic.twitter.com/bGj5QLsEIq
— Oakland Athletics ----⚾️ (@Athletics) April 3, 2018First of all, an Oakland team was not involved in Deflategate so the joke doesn't make as much sense as would, say, a Tuck Rule Game reference, as that involved the Patriots and the Raiders.
Lol maybe a tuck rule joke would have made more sense Oakland..... pic.twitter.com/53La49YwzV
— Paul Finnell (@pfinnell4) April 3, 2018 — Miguel Goncalves (@MG_Pats12) April 3, 2018how I feel when the A's try to flame the Red Sox! hopefully #RedSoxNation can help inflate those attendance numbers a bit! pic.twitter.com/5TdRWNH2Zq
— Bryant Wing (@bryantwing) April 3, 2018But even that had nothing to do with the Red Sox and didn't even happen in the same sport.
Also, the A's used a picture of Dustin Pedroia to promote the series, but he is on the disabled list and might not play against the A's.

— Mike Bert (@MikeBertoncini) April 3, 2018-- A lawyer for late Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez is saying the investigation into the boat crash that killed Fernandez and two of his friends was flawed.
Attorney Ralph Fernandez is claiming in a legal filing that Fernandez was unfairly blamed for the September 2016 crash.
The filing accuses Florida wildlife agency investigators of prematurely concluding Fernandez caused the crash and then altering or ignoring evidence to the contrary.
That investigation concluded that Fernandez was operating his boat when it crashed into a Miami Beach jetty, killing Fernandez, Emilio Macias and Eduardo Rivero.
Attorneys for Macias and Rivero say there is no evidence either of them were operating the boat.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "It's in their DNA. It is. It's hard. I don't want to take away their aggressiveness. But we have to get better and they know it." -- Alex Cora, on the Red Sox getting thrown out on the basepaths
