Kyrie Irving may not be the only Celtic who winds up in New York

One name that hasn’t seemed to pop up in Celtics free agency rumors is Marcus Morris. He has Bird Rights, but the Celtics will probably renounce those because Boston currently has a $10 million cap hold on Morris.

And the whole thing with Kyrie Irving and Al Horford supposedly leaving is the Celtics are working to create as much cap space as they can for this summer. It’s why Aron Baynes is heading to Phoenix.

Plus, Baynes doesn’t necessarily fit in with this young Celtics team, and Morris may not either.

But, of course, Mook has to land somewhere. And that somewhere may be New York.

Marc Spears of ESPN’s The Undefeated is reporting Morris, along with his brother Markieff, DeAndre Jordan and DeMarcus Cousins, are “on the Knicks’ radar.”

A Knicks team that’s not expected to have Irving and, at best, signs Kevin Durant this summer knowing he’s a non-factor next season. Sounds tempting.
