For the first time since the Celtics faced the Sixers on December 12, Vincent Poirier will be available to play in a game.
Back on December 16, the big man fractured his right pinky finger at practice and underwent surgery. Prior to Monday’s game, Boston cleared him to play against the Bulls.
However, the Celtics will be without one of their other bigs. Daniel Theis has been ruled out. The team announced he has right knee soreness, though Brad Stevens was more specific at shootaround, expressing Theis is dealing with knee tendinitis.
Robert Williams (left hip bone edema) remains out, as well.
Stevens will also have Romeo Langford at his disposal for the first time since the Celtics last played the Bulls on January 4. The rookie has been battling an illness.
Fellow rookie Carsen Edwards will not be suiting up against Chicago. He was assigned to the Red Claws before the Celtics held shootaround on Monday.
