The Red Sox went with some high-end college pitching with their third pick of this year's MLB June Amateur Draft Tuesday.
With the 107th overall pick the Sox took righty hurler Ryan Zeferjahn.

June 4, 2019 The Kansas University ace excelled in his junior year this season, finishing second in the Big 12 in strikeouts, with 107 in 88.1 innings, and recorded a 5-2 record, a 3.97 earned-run average and a 1.18 WHIP.
Zeferjahn, a Topeka, Kansas native, had been taken in the 37th round out of high school by the Rays in 2016.
Even in his most embarrassing moment -- awkwardly throwing a pitch that became a somewhat viral video -- the big righty managed to come out of it looking good, responding on Twitter: “Who said pitchers aren’t athletes? ... Happens to the best of ’em.”
