As is the case every year, the Patriots had multiple players get claimed off waivers.

In all, four players were picked up by other teams, according to multiple reports.

Miami got two of them -- cornerback Ken Webster and defensive end Trent Harris. Then, Denver acquired tight end Andrew Beck and the Jets nabbed wide receiver Braxton Berrios. It's unclear if the Patriots had plans to bring any of these players back on their practice squad.

Webster was selected by the Patriots in the seventh round this year, while Beck went undrafted and received the most money to sign with New England as an UDFA. Meanwhile, Berrios was picked in the sixth round last year, and Harris was a UDFA.

Of these, Berrios is probably the biggest name, but he did not do enough to stand out this summer. Also, missing the third preseason game hurt his cause.

The Patriots did not pick up any players off waivers.
