Boomer Esiason on GHS: I am still worried about Patriots offense

Even though the Patriots scored 34 points in a 21-point win over the Benagls on Sunday, the offense still looked out of sync.

It was aided by special teams and defense, including a Stephon Gilmore pick-6, so it wasn't like the offense consistently moved the ball down the field on the way to scoring 34 points, the most since Week 6.

Appearing on The Greg Hill Show Monday, WFAN and CBS Sports' Boomer Esiason admitted he's still concerned with the offense, especially against good teams.

"I am worried about it, there's no question about that," he said. "To go into Baltimore in the playoffs at some point is not going to be easy, nor will it be to play one of these teams at home. If they get the Texans or the Titans at home, they will beat them, I am not worried about that. But, Kansas City, or having to go to Baltimore, that is going to be really difficult. Ultimately, for the Patriots it is about getting to the Super Bowl, though. That is the ultimate goal and winning the thing. Anything less than that I am sure is a disappointment up there in New England."

One of the bright spots was the N'Keal Harry touchdown when he was able to find an open spot in the end zone when his original route was covered and Tom Brady had plenty of time in the pocket to find him.

"I thought it was a big moment for the offensive line," Esiason said. "Tom Brady finally had time to sit back there and survey the field and be able to throw the ball. It is good for each guy, there's no question about it, it gives a little bit more confidence. But, the better teams you play, this week you play the Bills, and the Bills are a better team. We saw that last night against Pittsburgh. Those plays are not going to be there. Their defensive line will put more pressure on Tom Brady, Sean McDermott will be more aggressive defensively than the Bengals were yesterday.

"I don't think anything has been solved, but the defense is still pretty damn good and Stephon Gilmore will have votes for Defensive Player of the Year, definitely."

The Patriots will host the Bills Saturday afternoon.
