The Patriots have had two full weeks of virtual meetings and by all accounts they are going well -- better than expected, according to Bill Belichick.
Appearing on ESPN Radio 98.7 in New York last week, Devin McCourty admitted they have also helped begin the process of moving on from Tom Brady.
"One of the biggest things we have to do as a team, and as players individually, is move on, lock in, and get focused on life without Tom," he said. "Not just to harp on it, and talk about it, but to actually move on and try to prepare. I think the virtual meetings have been good for us to start that process."
New England did not draft a quarterback last weekend and have not added any of the bigger name free agents at the position, so it appears it is Jarrett Stidham's job to lose with Brian Hoyer the backup.
It's unclear when the Patriots will be able to gather as a team at the Gillette Stadium facility, but by all accounts the season is expected to start on time.
