ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Following the NFC title game, Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson did not shy away from speaking about Tom Brady.

"Pretty boy Tom Brady. Greatest QB of all time. I'd like nothing more than to dethrone that guy," Johnson said, via ESPN.

At Super Bowl LII Opening Night, Johnson wasn't backing down.

"I think he is the greatest quarterback of all-time," Johnson said. "I know I have created some controversy with the statements I've said. Poke a little fun, poke the bear. People like to say put it on the bulletin board, I am not afraid to put it on the bulletin board. We're going to go out and we're going to play the best we can. We know what we're up against. We've seen their resume in the Super Bowl.

"Having said that, I think it all comes down to the confidence in ourselves, don't worry about what they are doing and just worry about us."

As for being the underdogs in the game, he's embracing it, and the dog masks, too.

"This is the Super Bowl, I don't think we have to get motivated," Johnson said. "It is what it is. It all came about — Chris Long thought about it and I ended up getting a mask. Before the Falcons game, if we won I would have brought it out. If we lost, it would never have been seen again. I got it from Jason Peters. Whenever we won, he ran out onto the field and Chris Long grabbed his and it kind of has taken off ever since. I think it is just how the town of Philadelphia is perceived I believe."
