Report: Isaiah Wynn suffered toe injury vs. Dolphins, will have MRI Monday

While the Patriots shut out the Dolphins 43-0 on Sunday, it wasn't all good news coming from the game.

Starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn left the contest in the first quarter with what the team deemed a foot injury at the time. On Monday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport clarified Wynn suffered a toe injury and he will have a MRI Monday to determine the severity.

The report added if it is turf toe it could linger.

With Wynn leaving the game, the Patriots were forced to shuffle the line around.

Marshall Newhouse, who started at right tackle in place of Marcus Cannon, shifted to left tackle and Korey Cunningham entered the game to play right tackle. With these two players coming to the team over the last few weeks, it certainly is not an ideal situation.

Cannon (shoulder) did go through a pregame workout on the field prior to Sunday's game, which indicated he had a chance to play. This could mean he returns next week, but regardless the Patriots have some concerns at tackle.

Dante Scarnecchia loves having continuity on the offensive line and this season has been anything but that.

This certainly is worth watching over the next few weeks, as the team really needs Wynn and Cannon healthy.
