Plenty to feel good about with Celtics these days

The Celtics appear to be peaking at the right time.

With only one game remaining before the start of the NBA playoffs in Orlando, the Celtics put together one of their better efforts since the restart in their 122-107 win over the Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Jayson Tatum continues to showcase his talent and he finished with a team-high 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting and pulled down six rebounds. In addition, Kemba Walker played 28 minutes and scored 19 points as he looks like he's ready to get rid of his minutes restriction come the playoffs.

And it's looking more and more like the Celtics will be taking on the 76ers in the first round of the playoffs, which would be good news considering all the injuries they are currently dealing with. The Celtics are locked in as the No. 3 seed.

On Thursday, they will play the final regular season game against the Wizards, which will likely feature many of the reserves.

Then there was also some good news off the court, as during Tuesday's broadcast NBC Sports Boston play-by-play man Mike Gorman gave an update on Tommy Heinsohn, who has been dealing with blood clots of late.

"I visited with (him) today for about 45 minutes. He's in rare form," Gorman said during the game. "He thinks the officials should be left in the bubble for months at a time before they let them out again."

He added: "He's feeling good. He's feeling a whole lot better and he wants everyone to know that."

It's good news all around for the Celtics right now.
