It's quite obvious the Patriots are interested in this year's tight end class, which makes it no surprise they will be hosting one of the better ones on a top 30 visit.
According to Jared Tokarz of the NFL Draft Insider, Texas A&M tight end Jace Sternberger has a top 30 visit set up with the team.
Sternberger isn't at the level of T.J. Hockenson or Noah Fant of Iowa, but he's in the next wave of tight end prospects coming out in the draft. After transferring from Kansas, he had an outstanding season in his one year as an Aggie. He totaled 48 receptions for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns. At 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, he also prides himself as being a good blocker.
With Rob Gronkowski retiring over the weekend, he could be a potential selection at No. 32 overall if the team elects to remain in that spot.
Also, Notre Dame wide out Miles Boykin reportedly has a top 30 visit with the Patriots the first week of April.
