It appears the Patriots' Plan A at quarterback next season is Tom Brady, but they are always looking for a Plan B, no matter what the situation is.
When it comes to who could potentially replace the 42-year-old, a few free agents have been mentioned, but also the potential for a trade.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots, Colts and Bears are among the teams that could try and trade for Bengals QB Andy Dalton. The report adds the Bengals are expected to work with Dalton and his agent on a deal so he ends up in a place he would like.
The Bengals will almost certainly be selecting LSU quarterback Joe Burrow No. 1 overall in the draft next month.
Dalton is entering the last year of his deal, which has him making $17.5 million in 2020.
