ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Despite strong indications Matt Patricia will be the next coach of the Lions, the Patriots defensive coordinator would not address it at all during Super Bowl LII Opening Night.
Patricia was asked roughly a dozen questions about the Lions job and the answer was the same every time.
"All my focus is on the Eagles," Patricia said repeatedly.
Even Barstool Sports' David Portnoy couldn't crack him.
Portnoy reminded him about the Roger Goodell clown shirt he wore coming off the plane following Super Bowl LI and how Portnoy claimed it would not affect him getting a head-coaching gig.
"My thoughts are definitely on Philadelphia. It is all about Philly" he said. "They have an extremely good offense and I have a lot of issues that I have to prepare for."
Here is Portnoy's video.
