FOXBORO -- Josh Gordon still hasn't been reinstated by the NFL, but he worked out with Tom Brady this offseason courtesy of a post on the quarterbacks Instagram page.
Brady was asked about the workout when he met with the media Wednesday at Gillette Stadium.
"There weren’t many opportunities, but he was around and I needed someone to catch," he said. "I've always enjoyed playing with him and obviously hope everything works out for him. I'm hoping the best, certainly."
In 11 games with the Patriots last season, Gordon finished with 40 receptions for 720 yards and three touchdowns.
Bill Belichick was asked about Gordon's status last week and he said to ask the NFL, but the league had no update.
