BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Following the ESPN story detailing a power struggle within the Patriots organization a few weeks ago, much has been made of tension between Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
Many have downplayed it, but appearing on Good Morning Football, Robert and Jonathan Kraft seemed to say there is some tension, but it is a good thing.
"You have tension. I think a certain amount of tension helps make great things happen," Robert said.
Jonathan said there is no dysfunction.
"Dysfunction is when people take energy and use it to think about how to undermine other people and that does not happen." he said. "If it happens in this organization, I haven't seen it."
As for Brady and when he might retire, Jonathan said that will be a decision Brady will make on his own and has earned the right to do that.
"I think Tom Brady has earned the right to have that be a decision he makes when he wants to make it," he said.
He also has no problem with Robert referring to Brady as a fifth son.
"I love him like a brother, so when my father calls him his fifth son I am fully supportive of that," Jonathan said.
