Rafael Devers was named AL Player of the Month for May and continues to dominate for the Red Sox into June, seemingly finding gaps in the outfield at will.
In Boston's first game in Kansas City, Devers drove home two runs through four at bats, including a double deep to left-center in the ninth inning of an 8-3 win. The very next night Devers doubled the opposite direction deep to right-center that scored Andrew Benintendi from second base. His next at-bat he fired a solo bomb 425 feet to center field that piled on to a six-run lead and a well-rounded 8-0 win.
Back-to-back eight-run nights extended Boston's win streak to three and Devers has been a major contributor to the team's success at the plate. He's now tallied nine homers with 38 RBIs and he's leading the team with a .316 batting average.
