The Bruins will be without David Pastrnak for a third straight game Monday night as they look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Hurricanes.

Pastrnak skated Sunday for the first time since Wednesday's Game 1, and coach Bruce Cassidy said afterwards that at that time he considered Pastrnak 50/50 "at best" for Game 4 Monday. Pastrnak was back on the ice for Monday's morning skate, but a short time later Cassidy ruled him out for Game 4.

Cassidy said the Bruins will once again use Anders Bjork on the top line in his place, despite the fact that Bjork took three penalties in Game 3 and got benched in the third period, finishing with a game-low 7:05 time on ice.

"Anders spent the most time there in training camp," Cassidy. "Obviously in-game we can make adjustments. But at the end of the day, the message to him is just play your game. You're not going to replace Pasta. We're not expecting you to go out and be what David is to us now. David's much further along in his development. Went through some of what Anders went through, albeit at a younger age. We're just asking him to play well, get on pucks, have a good stick. The other day he was trying to create some turnovers and unfortunately didn't get under people, got over the top of them and got called a few times. So he has to eliminate that. You can't take your linemates out of the game and force them to kill penalties.

"We discussed it. He came in, he gets it. He's a young guy that we feel will help us. Certainly had some good looks the first few games, didn't finish them. So that's the way we're going to start it. If we have to make a switch in-game, we will, but I have a feeling he'll bounce back. He's been a good player for us, good complementary guy, and that's what we're asking him to do for that line, complement that line and we'll see where it leads us."

The rest of the Bruins lineup also remains the same as Game 3, meaning this is what we'll see:

Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - Anders BjorkJake DeBrusk - David Krejci - Ondrej KaseSean Kuraly - Charlie Coyle - Jack StudnickaJoakim Nordstrom - Par Lindholm - Chris Wagner

Zdeno Chara - Charlie McAvoyTorey Krug - Brandon CarloMatt Grzelcyk - Connor Clifton

On the Carolina side, coach Rod Brind'Amour confirmed that forward Andrei Svechnikov and defenseman Joel Edmundson are out for Game 4. He said Edmundson is closer to a return. Svechnikov is expected to miss at least the rest of the series after suffering a leg injury late in Game 3 when he got tangled up with Zdeno Chara and fell awkwardly.
