David Pastrnak was back on the ice Sunday for the first time since celebrating Patrice Bergeron's double overtime winner in Game 1 on Wednesday.
The Bruins' star winger, who has missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury, was on the ice for at least part of Sunday's optional practice along with a dozen other teammates.
After practice, coach Bruce Cassidy told the media that Pastrnak was probably 50/50 "at best" for Game 4 Monday night, but that they would re-evaluate in the morning.
"Pasta skated today briefly," Cassidy said. "Did some work after in the gym. That's encouraging. He's got his skates on out there. How does that bode for tomorrow? Not sure yet. Probably a little premature. Let's see how he does in the morning. So I'd put him at I'd say 50/50 I guess, at best, right now. Of course that could change over 24 hours."
Most of the Bruins who played in Saturday's Game 3 win did not skate Sunday, but a few did, including Anders Bjork (who took three penalties Saturday and got benched in the third period), Jack Studnicka, Par Lindholm and Connor Clifton.
Nick Ritchie and Jeremy Lauzon, who were both scratched Saturday after playing in the first two games of the series, were also on the ice Sunday, as were goalies Dan Vladar and Max Lagace, who are now competing for the backup job behind Jaroslav Halak. Karson Kuhlman, who played Game 2 but not Game 3, did not skate Sunday.
