Draymond Green seems more interested in rattling the Celtics than actually playing basketball.
Sadly, he appears to be accomplishing his goal.
Green was a brat in Golden State's 107-88 win over the Celtics in Game 2, getting whistled for a technical foul early in the contest after plowing over Grant Williams and then trading some light shoves with him.
Strangely, Williams was called for the foul on the floor, despite Green initiating the contact with him. It was one of several instances in which Green received the benefit of the doubt from officials.
Late in the second quarter, Green fell backward into Jaylen Brown, and then started getting physical with him. Most players would draw a technical foul in that spot. But the refs let it go.
"It's not that I'm saying they necessarily treat me different. I've earned differential treatment. I enjoy that. I embrace that," Green told reporters after the game.
Riding high with impunity, Green was untethered in the second half. During the fourth quarter, cameras caught him chirping with Williams, who just picked up his third foul.
"He's a bozo. He's a bozo," Green was clearly uttering.
Williams gave it right back to him, but the cameras cut away.
It was apparent Green was going to try and get into the Celtics' heads when he dismissed their Game 1 win.
On Sunday night, they proved him right. Bozos indeed.
