Jaylen Brown won't play Thursday night in Brooklyn, and he could miss a couple more games beyond that.
The Celtics announced that Brown is dealing with "right adductor tightness," and interim coach Joe Mazzulla said that while they're not entirely sure of the timeline just yet, Brown could miss "a week or so."
Brown just had arguably his best game of the season on Wednesday, scoring a season-high 41 points in Boston's 125-114 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. However, he revealed after the game that his groin was hurting late in the game.
Given Mazzulla's comments, it seems likely that Brown will miss the Celtics' two games in Charlotte coming up on Saturday and Monday. The big question will be whether he has a chance to return for a big rematch with the Golden State Warriors at TD Garden next Thursday.
