The Golden State Warriors were getting tropical Tuesday night.

As the team warmed up for its game against the Los Angeles Clippers, there was a new member of the squad with them — it was Will Ferrell dressed as Jackie Moon, his character from the basketball comedy “Semi-Pro.”

Ferrell was dressed in his full Flint, Michigan Tropics garb and participated in the shootaround while playing some defense on Klay Thompson.

Thompson, of course, is a big-time “Semi-Pro” fan who has said his headband look was inspired by the Ferrell character.

In October 2018, Thompson said he “looked like Jackie Moon” after draining 14 3-pointers against the Chicago Bulls. He then dressed as Jackie Moon a couple weeks later for Halloween.

As recently as this past September, while rehabbing from his Achilles injury, he posted on Instagram he was going “full Jackie Moon this year”.

Then, after being snubbed from the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, Thompson’s teammates gave him a No. 77 jersey that he used as a Moon jersey.

So, needless to say, it was only a matter of time before Jackie Moon and Klay Thompson met on the court.
