What a year for Aaron Rodgers.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback was announced as the NFL MVP award winner on Saturday night and shockingly revealed that he got engaged this year, too.
Rodgers did not say who his fiancée is, but reports earlier this week linked him to 29-year-old actress Shailene Woodley. The Packers quarterback previously was dating former professional racing car driver Danica Patrick.
The 37-year-old three-time MVP slyly broke the news in his acceptance speech.
“Twenty-twenty was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments,” he said. “One-hundred and eighty straight days of having my nose hairs scraped. Playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season. I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career.”
In case you didn’t think you heard him right, he mentioned it again as he was rattling off names of people he wanted to thank.
“I’d like to thank my team off the field: Ryan, Tommy, Len and Rebecca, Adam, Oliver and Emil, Debbie, Jodie Foster…Torpedo, Joey, A.J., Pat, all the boys there, my fiancée,” he said, with a smirk. “They only gave me a minute to do this, so I’ve got to wrap this up real quick.”
