DeVante Parker's time with the Patriots is coming to an end.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, New England will release the veteran wide receiver on Wednesday and has given him permission to speak with other teams.

The Patriots acquired Parker from the Dolphins via trade in the spring of 2022, sending a third-round pick to Miami in exchange for the wide receiver and a fifth. Over two seasons in New England, the 6-foot-3 target caught 64 passes for 933 yards and three touchdowns. He went 100+ yards in a game just once.

Parker signed a contract extension with the Patriots last June, and will now leave a $6.3 million dead cap hit on their 2024 salary, according to OverTheCap.

New England's wide receiver room now consists of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kendrick Bourne, Tyquan Thornton, DeMario Douglas, and Kayshon Boutte. The team is reportedly pursuing free agent pass catcher Calvin Ridley.
