The Patriots had a disappointing 7-9 season, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2008 and having their worst record since 2000.
So, how did this impact TV ratings -- their first year without Tom Brady at quarterback?
According to Austin Karp of Sports Business Journal, the Patriots got an average rating of 26.3 for the season in Boston, which was down 26% from 2019.
In comparison, the best TV market in the league was Kansas City, as it had a 46.5 average rating. New Orleans (42.9), Buffalo (42), Pittsburgh (39.9) and Milwaukee (39.11) rounded out the top five.
Super Wild Card Weekend did not go very well for the league, as viewers were down 25% Saturday from last year and 20% on Sunday.
