Former Patriots cornerback Keion Crossen will face off against his old team Sunday when the Dolphins take on New England in South Florida.

In the meantime, he just gave the Pats some bulletin-board material.

Crossen, who played in 11 games with the Patriots during the 2018 season, posted a couple of crying-laughing emojis on his Instagram story in reaction to the news that the Pats are traveling to Florida five days ahead of their Week 1 matchup.

“Lol that won’t help,” posted Crossen, via Patriots Wire.

The Patriots have lost seven of their last nine road games against the Dolphins, and are seemingly altering their travel plans to try and change their fortunes. They are 3.5-point underdogs heading into Sunday’s affair.

Earlier this week, Bart Scott, one of Bill Belichick’s staunchest critics, mocked the Patriots for their extended stay as well. “I think this is a desperation move,” said Scott on ESPN’s Get Up. “You're trying to change the narrative. You understand that you're struggling, but South Beach is undefeated. I say South Beach because you have to fight the elements.”

Scott is presumably referring to the plethora of nightlife options in Miami, but Patriots players will have to travel if they want to take part in the revelry. They’re staying in Palm Beach, which is about 90 minutes from South Beach.

So they may not be getting torched in the club after all this week. Maybe Crossen will get torched on Sunday.
