The Patriots’ worst fears on Sunday came true on Monday morning.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garofolo, tests revealed that wide receiver Kendrick Bourne tore his ACL during the team’s loss to the Dolphins this weekend. A 6 to 8 month recovery process is expected.
Bourne had been putting together one of his best seasons as a pro, tallying 37 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns. He’ll now enter unrestricted free agency this Spring while rehabbing his knee.
