Jones got in a week of limited practices and remained a limited participant on Saturday. On Thursday, ESPN's Mike Reiss reported that Jones expected to be ready for Monday night. The Athletic's Jeff Howe added that Jones would be the starter over rookie Bailey Zappe once he is healthy enough to return.

Jones, meanwhile, had struggled prior to his injury, going 1-2 and completing 64 of 97 passes (66.0%) for 786 yards, two touchdowns, five interceptions and a 76.2 passer rating.
