The Jaguars don't seem to be interested in Josh McDaniels when it comes to him being their next head coach -- at least as of now.
Jacksonville reportedly has requested permission to speak with six coaches and McDaniels is not one of them. New NFL rules allow organizations to request interviews with coaches beginning with two weeks left in the regular season season if they have already fired their head coach and will be seeking a new one for the next year.
Coaches who were requested for interviews include Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus and Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
This doesn't mean McDaniels won't interview at all, it just doesn't seem like he's at the top of their list.
The Patriots will host the Jaguars on Sunday.
