The Patriots elevated four players from their practice squad to the roster for Saturday's game against the Bills.
Those players are defensive back DeVante Busby, defensive back D’Angelo Ross, defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale and wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson. It should be worth noting that just because these players were elevated, it doesn't mean they all will be on the game-day roster.
Two defensive backs being elevated is a sign the team does not believe Jalen Mills and Shaun Wade will be cleared from the COVID list prior to the game. While there's still a chance, it doesn't seem likely.
[UPDATE 5:15 p.m.] Ekuale and Ross are listed on the NFL transaction wire as COVID-19 replacements, which indicates Mills and Wade will not play.
If those two do have to miss the game, here are the Patriots' available cornerbacks: J.C. Jackson, Myles Bryant, Joejuan Williams, Justin Bethel, Bausby and Ross.
It will be interesting to see if Wilkerson is active over N'Keal Harry like he was in Week 16 against the Jaguars.
Inactives are due around 6:45 p.m. Saturday night, which is when we'll know which of these players will play.
