6 rings: crucial clashes ahead of patriots vs. cowboys
With New England’s lone transaction on Wednesday being the addition of defensive tackle Manny Jones to the practice squad, they once again hit the field on Thursday with no absences. Perfect attendance.
Here’s what stood out in the Patriots’ second-to-last practice prior to their trip to Dallas:
Attendance:
Absent: None
PUP: S Cody Davis, DE Trey Flowers
IR: WR Tyquan Thornton, OT Riley Reiff, CB Jack Jones, CB Marcus Jones, DL Daniel Ekuale
Other Notes:
- Despite the perfect attendance, guard Cole Strange, who left Sunday's game versus the Jets when he re-aggravated his knee injury, looked very limited during the media portion of practice.
- Patriots’ cornerback Christian Gonzalez was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Month for September. The boundary player has tallied 16 total tackles, one sack, an interception, and three passes defensed through three games to start his young career.
- Bailey Zappe, Mailk Cunningham, T.J. Luther, Calvin Munson, and Keion White remained in their black practice jerseys as 'practice players of the week'.
