Patriots reportedly requested more space at Arrowhead Stadium, but were denied

The Patriots took all the precautions they could when traveling to Kansas City a few days after Cam Newton tested positive for COVID-19, including taking two planes -- one for the 20 or so people who came in close contact with the QB and then the rest of the traveling part.

But when it came to requesting more space at Arrowhead Stadium, that didn't happen.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Patriots were forced to cram into the Chiefs visiting locker room (estimated at 1,000 square feet) and when they asked for more space they were declined.

Kansas City has one of the smallest visiting locker rooms in the league, so it is understood why the Patriots requested more space.

Stephon Gilmore, who was one of the players on the close contact flight and was in the locker room Monday night, tested positive on Tuesday.

The Patriots' facility was closed Wednesday and Thursday, but they are still scheduled to host the Broncos on Sunday.
