6 rings: Reaction and analysis from the Patriots preseason opener
The Patriots have now made two signings following their 20-9 loss to the Texans on Thursday night.
After signing running back CJ Marable on Friday night, New England is also signing offensive lineman Micah Vanterpool according to James Larsen of PFN. Larsen was also first to report the Marable signing.
The Patriots worked out Vanterpool on July 31 and after a subpar showing from their offensive line against Houston, are now planning to bring him to Foxborough.
Vanterpool played for the University of Hawaii from 2017-2022 and was named All-Mountain West second-team following his senior season after starting all 13 games at right guard. He went on to play for the New Jersey Generals for the USFL this season.
The Patriots are now at 92 players, so they'll need to make at least two roster moves to make these signings official.
