The Patriots now have four representatives in the Pro Bowl.
Rookie quarterback Mac Jones was named as an alternate on Sunday. Lamar Jackson was named to the original roster, but will not play due to injury. Josh Allen was the first alternate and declined after the Bills' loss last week.
Matthew Judon, Matthew Slater and J.C. Jackson are the other three Patriots representatives.
As of now Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert are the other AFC quarterbacks besides Jones. Another could be added if Mahomes backs out after Kansas City losing in the AFC title game.
Jones threw 22 touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions while completing 67.6% of his passes for 3,801 passing yards, while leading the Patriots to a 10-7 regular-season record.
He's the fourth Patriot to be named to the Pro Bowl as a rookie.
The game will be played Sunday, Feb. 6 in Las Vegas at 3 p.m. EST.
