Jarren Duran is back on a baseball field.
After not participating in the Red Sox' instructional camp following a standout showing at the team's alternate site, the outfield prospect played in his first game for Caguas of the Puerto Rican Winter League Tuesday night.
Duran hit second for the team managed by Red Sox coach Ramon Vazquez.
Duran grounded out to short in his second trip and he went home to first in 4.00 seconds. Roman Quinn was the only batter that averaged under 4 seconds home to first last season and he rated in the 100th percentile in sprint speed.
