Lewin will reportedly work in a role for the Padres similar to the position that Wayne Randazzo had on WOR-710 AM with the Mets. Randazzo serves as the Mets' pre and postgame host, occasionally filling in on play-by-play duties.
"Hey guys, I understand there's a report out there about my leaving the Mets," Lewin tweeted Saturday. "Can't tell you details yet because my contract isn't signed yet, but i will indeed announce an exciting new opportunity for me and my family soon. It's all good, I promise. Thanks much."
