The Islanders beefed up in net, signing free agent goaltender Robin Lehner to a one-year contract on Monday evening. Though financial details were not released, CapFriendly reports that Lehner will earn $1.5 million.

— New York Islanders (@NYIslanders) July 3, 2018Lehner appeared in 53 games last season with the Buffalo Sabres. He posted a 14-26-9 record, a 3.01 goals-against-average and a .908 save percentage. The 26-year-old Swede owns a .915 career save percentage.
He recorded career highs in starts (58) and wins (23) during the 2016-17 season.
Incumbent goaltender Thomas Greiss struggled last season, posting a 13-8-2 record with a 3.82 goals-against-average and a .892 save percentage.
The Islanders have remained busy this offseason after John Tavares signed for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Lehner, Leo Komarov, Valtteri Filppula and Tom Kuhnhackl are among the Islanders' notable free agent signings. Matt Martin was re-acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday in exchange for goaltender Eamon McAdam.
Calvin De Haan will not be returning. The 27-year-old defenseman signed signed a four-year, $18.2 million contract with the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
