Odell Beckham Jr. is getting his record-breaking contract.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Giants and their superstar wideout have agreed on a five-year, $95 million extension, making him the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL. It includes $65 million guaranteed and averages $20 million a year over the first three seasons.

The #Giants and WR Odell Beckham Jr have agreed to terms on a 5-year extension worth a whopping $95M, source said. He gets the highest guarantee ever for a WR at $65M and averages $20M over the first 3 years. Nice job by the #NYG and agent Zeke Sandhu getting this done. Win/win--

Talks on a new contract began earlier this month after the three-time Pro Bowler reported for training camp on time. Beckham was entering the final year of his rookie contract.

Important in #NYG/@OBJ_3 situation: Pat Shurmur & OBJ have developed strong relationship since January & Beckham has done everything asked of him by Shurmur/NYG this spring/summer. All of that matters.

Beckham's $19 million annual average salary surpasses Steelers All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown's $17 million annual salary and the $55 million guranteed that Tampa Bay's Mike Evans received in March.

The Giants selected Beckham with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 draft. Over his first three seasons, he recorded 288 receptions for 1,374 yards and 35 touchdowns. He was voted Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014.

Beckham played just four games in 2017, his season cut short by a broken ankle. Prior to the injury, he had 25 catches for 302 yards and three TDs.

He also has provided his share of distractions both on and off the field, including a video that went viral in March showing Beckham smoking a brown cigarette or cigar while a woman in bed next to him holds a credit card near a plate with lines of a white substance on it.. Despite that and the fact that the Giants listened to trade offers for Beckham over the offseason, co-owner John Mara said at the start of training camp, "We want Odell to be a Giant for a long time."
