After a busy summer signing prized free-agents Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets are remaining active with the regular season underway. Nets general manager Sean Marks has signed free-agent guard Iman Shumpert to provide depth at the position, after they found out Caris Levert might have ligament damage to his thumb.

Last year, Shumpert had stops in Sacramento and Houston, but went unsigned during the offseason. In recent weeks Shumpert reportedly had conversations with the Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies, but ultimately it's Brooklyn who will acquire his services.
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports Shumpert enters his ninth season in the NBA with career averages of 7.3 ppg, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists. Known for his athleticism and defensive prowess, the former 17th overall draft pick helped the Cavaliers win a championship in 2016.
With Durant out for the season as he recovers from a torn Achilles, Kyrie Irving's Brooklyn Nets are off to a slow start, winning just four of their first 10 games this season.
