After a busy summer signing prized free-agents Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets are remaining active with the regular season underway. Nets general manager Sean Marks has signed free-agent guard Iman Shumpert to provide depth at the position, after they found out Caris Levert might have ligament damage to his thumb.
First reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Shumpert will rejoin his former Cavaliers teammate Kyrie Irving in the Nets backcourt.

November 13, 2019 The 29-year old guard began his NBA career with the Knicks, before being traded to Cleveland in 2015. Last year, Shumpert had stops in Sacramento and Houston, but went unsigned during the offseason. In recent weeks Shumpert reportedly had conversations with the Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies, but ultimately it's Brooklyn who will acquire his services.
With Durant out for the season as he recovers from a torn Achilles, Kyrie Irving's Brooklyn Nets are off to a slow start, winning just four of their first 10 games this season.
