All of the recent talk has linked Anthony Davis to Los Angeles, but could the superstar end up in New York?

While he is focused on the Lakers as his top preferred destination, Davis also considers the Knicks as a preferred landing spot, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Charania went on to say that prior to the trade with Dallas, New York made a push to New Orleans with an offer for Davis centered around Kristaps Porzingis.

Following the Porzingis trade, the Knicks now have the cap space to fit two max free agents this summer.

Porzingis was certainly New York's top trade asset, but after shipping the 23-year-old to Dallas, the Knicks now have seven first round draft picks over the next five years, including their own top pick in 2019.

The Lakers are still the favorites to land Davis, as a report today said the 25-year-old superstar does not view Boston as a long-term option. But between this report and Kyrie Irving's backing off his commitment to Boston, Knicks fans should feel a little more confident about the team's future than immediately after the Porzingis trade.
