C-Lo was filling in for J-Rec on Thursday’s Boomer & Gio Show, but that’s okay – because the Moment of the Day was all about another intra-squad battle.
During Wednesday night’s Facebook Live around the Yankees game, the gang mentioned that “The” Eddie Scozzare should have been a part of the fun (to be fair, Eddie was getting his beauty sleep at the time), and Boomer gave Eddie some props for the workload he’s taken on in the studio during the pandemic to keep the show running smoothly – and done it without fear despite being medically high-risk (Eddie, as has been mentioned on the show before, is Type 1 Diabetic).
Still, the Booms gave Eddie the props he deserves for being a huge part of the show, and Eddie responded in kind Thursday morning.
“Despite our philosophical differences, I know Boomer appreciates me coming in, and I appreciate him coming in,” Eddie said, which led to Boomer telling Gio “you’d be surprised at how much in line me and Eddie really are.”
“Not in politics,” Gio noted, but Boomer was persistent…and Eddie dropped the bomb on him.
“I think Boomer maybe thinks I agree with him more, because sometimes I’ll just nod and smile to not get into a fight!” Eddie laughed.
All of that led to an invite for an Esiason-Scozzare political summit after the show, to which Al Dukes offered up the Postgame Podcast as a forum since Jerry was out. It didn’t happen, because the Booms is a busy man with the Facebook Live-ing and “damn podcasting” and cleaning his own office and all, but hey, let’s take this as a reminder: philosophical differences don’t have to define us when it comes to working together towards a common goal!
