Gregg Giannotti is still going strong in the Boomer & Gio 2020 NFL Picks competition, but the Suffolk County kid is coming on strong, thanks to a big week 3. Jerry is here, too!
This week, with one local already playing (and losing, natch) on Thursday night, the gang was forced to take four games outside the region, and with three big dogs in the fight, six of the nine picks in those three games are picking David over Goliath when the spread comes into play?
First, your Week 4 standings:
Gio: 9-6 (2-3)
Boomer: 8-7 (4-1)
Jerry: 6-9 (3-2)
(Al Dukes' Parlay is 6-9 after a 1-4 week, so 0-3).
And now, Week 4 from B&G (and J), brought to you by Oddstrader.com, Solo Stove, and Prop Swap:
GAME 1: Indianapolis at Chicago (+2.5)
Gio: Chicago
Boomer: Chicago
Jerry: Indianapolis
Gio's take: "So, BDN usually rolls into these games and does his thing for a couple weeks before he peters out, and he'll do it again this week. I don't think the Bears will blow this out, but I like BDN, and I think for one more week, he gets it done in his special way. Gimme the Bears."
GAME 2: New England at Kansas City (-7)
Gio: New England
Boomer: New England
Jerry: Kansas City
Boomer's take: "I could see a little bit of a letdown after Monday night. Kansas City will win, but I think the Pats will keep it close. I like the way Cam Newton is running the offense, and because of his running ability, he presents a lot of problems for opposing defenses."
GAME 3: Buffalo at Las Vegas (+3)
Gio: Las Vegas
Boomer: Buffalo
Jerry: Las Vegas
Jerry's take: "My guy Sal Licata said the Bills will not win in Vegas. In Sal I trust."
GAME 4: Philadelphia at San Francisco (-7)
Gio: Philadelphia
Boomer: Philadelphia
Jerry: Philadelphia
Gio's take: "The 49ers just played two of the worst teams in the NFL, and are now going to play another, and I think they're going to feel it. I think this is the week Carson Wentz will finally silence the critics, and win this game against the Niners and their mash unit."
GAME 5: NY Giants at LA Rams (-13)
Gio: NY Giants
Boomer: LA Rams
Jerry: LA Rams
Boomer's take: "I think this is like a 30-10 or 30-13 game. I hope Daniel Jones doesn't turn the ball over, but until I see it, I have to bet against it. And, if there's one maniac coach in the league who has the run up the score energy every week, it's Sean McVay."
