Injuries, and punts, have taken over the narrative for Sunday’s Jets/Giants game at MetLife Stadium, and fans were making their frustration known.

The turf at MetLife Stadium has long been criticized, by fans and players, for playing a part in lower body injuries, and the rainy surface was front and center on Sunday as key players from both sides continued to leave the game with various injuries.

Jets defensive tackle Al Woods was carted to the locker room and ruled out with a calf injury, and their offensive line was decimated, leading to fourth-string center Xavier Newman taking the field, as Connor McGovern and Wes Schweitzer were both taken out of the game with injuries.

On the Giants side, Tyrod Taylor was taken to a nearby hospital with a ribs injury (though that one would be hard to blame on the turf), and tight end Darren Waller left and was ruled out for the rest of the game with a hamstring injury, one that had him listed as questionable for the game.

Fans were blasting MetLife Stadium’s turf, calling for the owners likely in attendance to switch to grass or a better quality surface.
